Research Interests
The increasing interest in Materials Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology has created a serious global need for the development of nanoscopy tools in order to be able to observe and test physical properties at this small scale. In this frame, Atomic Force Microscopy emerges as an authentic nanolaboratory in the scale between atomic resolution and micrometric world, where a wide range of physical phenomena from electromagnetic to mechanical, electronic or chemical properties and its entanglement can be test simultaneously at the nanoscale under the same probe. This feature is extremely attractive for an experimentalist scientist like me, with native interest for nanoscience. How this translates into real life? I focus mainly in the following research lines
Surface Electromechanical phenomena
Electric, magnetic and mechanical properties of nanoscale structures
